Kelly Burke tallied a team-high six points (four goals, two assists) and Shannon Hartford chipped in four (two goals, two assists) as Georgetown outlasted Manchester Essex in a narrow 13-11 victory. The story of the game, however, was the exceptional play of netminder April Surette, who made 17 saves.
"She's why we won," said coach Heather Hartford, whose Royals survived a seven-goal second period. "She was really on her game."
