Manchester-Essex had no defense for North Andover, losing 7-0. Senior Nathalie Spina and sophomore Alex Medlock sparked the shutout effort for the Scarlet Knights (3-2-1) while two goals each from Liv Boudreau and Jenna Armstrong propelled the offense.

The Hornets gave the Cape Ann Small co-leaders all they could handle before the Pioneers scored three additional goals in the second half.

The Hornets host Lynnfield on Monday and conclude the season with another home game, Tuesday vs. Rockport.

Rachelle Bourque scored two goals for Triton (4-10-1). Alissa Sullivan added a goal for the Vikings. Brittany Caprio had two assists. Jen Rock also added an assist.

Pentucket's Sarah Selig netted two goals and two assists. Meghan Dillon added two goals for the Sachems (4-8-1). Breanna Yocum also netted a goal. Katherine Torrisi and K.C. Jones had assists.

DeeDee Fagan had three first half goals, all within the first ten minutes of the game. Her first two came within ten seconds of each other, and the North Andover girls soccer team finished with eight on the day. Jenn Pino also had a goal and an assist, and regular goaltender Maya Miatkowski had a pair of assists. The Scarlet Knights improved to 11-2-1.

The Triton Vikings (2-8-1) upended the Rockport Vikings (2-9-0) on Friday night, 2-0. Brittany Caprio had a goal and an assist, and Deanna Latham scored for Triton. Olivia Gallivan was big in goal for Triton who has won their last two games.

Facing the Indians (5-5) for the second time this season, the Hornets (1-8) played much better this time around. Senior captain and striker Alex Doyle score the goal for Manchester Essex.

Underclassmen played a big role in North Reading's 5-0 win over Manchester-Essex in girls soccer. Freshman Jessie Valenti had two goals and sophomore Brittany Angiolillo one goal in the win while sophomore Erin Brooks turned aside five shots in the Hornets' net.

The host Fishermen (0-8-2) couldn't find the back of the net but they walked away with a tie thanks to freshman goalkeeper Laura Spilman's second shutout of the season.

Gloucester (0-8-1) could not solve a strong Saugus offense last night at Newell Stadium. Jennavie Orrell had the lone goal for the Fishermen, her second of the season.    

Gloucester picked up a hard-earned point with the draw. Jennavie Orrell, Clare Pleuler, Lizzy Scatterday and Mishelle Wood played well for the Fishermen.

Rockport goalie Kelsey Keough did her best to help the Vikings (1-6) with 20 saves in net, but it wasn't enough. Laura Donnelly also played well for Rockport in the midfield.

Pentucket used six different goal scorers to pound Manchester Essex, 8-1. Breanna Yocum and Stephanie Fitzgerald each netted a pair to go with goals from Erin Troy, Julia Quattrini, Sarah Selig and Katharine Torrisi. "I thought it was nice to have a number of different girls score," said head coach Greg Scruton. "It showed that we have a balanced attack. We moved the ball well, and were able to rely on others, not just one person needs to score for us, which is great to see."
