Georgetown sophomore Sarah Erlandson threw a sparkling one-hitter, striking out 14 in a 13-0 romp over Rockport. She also helped her own cause with a single, double and triple and four RBIs as the Royals (8-8) moved within one game of qualifying for the tournament with only a game against Ipswich Thursday left to play. Sarah Osborne added four hits and four RBIs.

Sparking Georgetown's to a 10-0 win, sophomore Sarah Erlandson absolutely dominated Manchester Essex, striking out 15 while not allowing the Hornets to record even a single hit. Fellow sophomore Kassie Barba went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored to help Erlandson's cause.

Cassandra Davis was 4 for 5 with two doubles for the Clippers (12-4). Lindsey Tomasz was 2 for 4 with a home run. Taylor Summitt was 4 for 4 with three runs scored. Shannon Brunault went 2 for 3. Pitcher Beth Castantini was 2 for 4 and earned the complete-game, one-hit victory. Rachel Notargiacomo was 2 for 5.

Marian Dullea earned the win, allowing two hit, two walks and one earned run in seven innings. She struck out nine.

Mikaela Carney led the Hornets offense with two hits and three RBIs.

Rockport gave Amesbury plenty of help with seven walks and six errors, but the Indians didn't need the added advantage cranking out 12 hit.

Jackie Webber (2 runs, RBI), Gabby Magnifico (RBI), Ali French (2 RBIs, run), and Kerri Salvatore (3 runs, triple) each had two hits for the Indians. Michelle Ring was brilliant on the mound going five innings giving up only two hits and no runs with six strike outs.

In the seventh, Tricia Grasso scored the tying run, and Molly Rowe scored the winning run. Rachel Notargiacomo was 2 for 4.

Sarah Erlandson is doing it all for 2-1 Georgetown — she went 3 for 4 and drove in four at the plate and also racked up 15 strikeouts over six innings as the Royals dismantled Manchester Essex, 15-0. Erlandson allowed just four hits and has registered strikeout totals of 14, 15 and 15 in Georgetown's first three games. Sarah Osborne and Cally O'Connor chipped in a pair of RBI apiece, as well.
