After losing this type of game five days before to Manchester Essex, Georgetown knew what it had to do to prevail this time against the Hornets. Despite coming out flat to start the game, Triton showed a lot fighting spirit coming from down three goals in the first half, battling in the first overtime before eventually falling in double OT.

Kelly Burke tallied a team-high six points (four goals, two assists) and Shannon Hartford chipped in four (two goals, two assists) as Georgetown outlasted Manchester Essex in a narrow 13-11 victory. The story of the game, however, was the exceptional play of netminder April Surette, who made 17 saves.

Natalie Sullivan (5 goals and an assist), Erin Curley (3 goals), Jen Rock (2 goals and 4 assists), Jill Gallagher (2 goals) Caitlyn Muller (2 goals), and Sara Nardone (2 goals) all contributed in a huge Triton (3-3) win over Manchester-Essex yesterday, winning their third straight game after losing the first three contests of the season.

Down seven goals heading into the second half, Newburyport put together a great second half performance, but fell a goal short ultimately in its come back attempt. Coach Catherine Batchelder said the Clippers came out slow and got in too big a hole, which has been an unfortunate trend for the team this season.

 After a difficult start to the season that included games against Masconomet and North Andover, Triton got a good confidence booster clobbering Gloucester, 16-5.

Sara Nardone had two goals and three assists, Erin Curley had two goals, Natalie Sullivan had one goal, Jen Rock had a goal and an assist, Emma Peditto had three goals, Kaitly Muller had a goal and an assist, Nicole LaBel had two goals, Jill Gallagher had a goal and an assist, Olivia Gallivan and had a goal for the Vikings. Elizabeth Benoit and Kristen Roberts each held down the fort in net with three saves.

Shannon Hartford tallied three goals and three assists for Georgetown (3-1). Michelle Reilly added three goals and an assist. Meghan Makiver also scored three goals. Kelly Burke and Kristin Pingree added two goals each. First-year starters Lauren Hall and Rachel Sherman netted their first varsity goals. April Surrette made 10 saves.
