MERRIMACK — Timberlane played a strong defensive game but could never get untracked in a 14-0 loss to Merrimack.
The Owls (2-6) were led by Kyle Gleason, who was a force at inside linebacker.
Coach Kevin Fitzgerald said, "Our defense was really good, We gave up a couple big plays but for the most part played well. We didn't do too much on offense."
The Tomahawks (4-4) snapped a three-game losing streak. Senior quarterback Joe Eichman, who holds a scholarship offer from Bryant, threw a touchdown pass in the second quarter and scored on a TD run in the third.
