Briana Szidat poured in 32 points — including six 3-pointers — to help lift Pelham girls basketball past Hollis-Brookline 44-43. The Pythons came up with two defensive stops in the final 30 seconds to preserve the win.

UMass Lowell-bound senior Briana Szidat reached the 1,000 point plateau thanks to her 14-point performance in Pelham girls basketball's 47-33 victory over Monadnock. According to Pelham AD Tim Powers, Szidat is only the second girls player in school history to reach the milestone. Joining Szidat in the Pythons' assault were Jacqui Perry, who chipped in 11 points, and Nicole Mastacouris, who had nine points.

Briana Szidat did it all for Pelham in a 67-62 victory over Milford. The UMass Lowell-bound senior dominated underneath with 15 rebounds and, among her 32 points, she had three 3-pointers. Kayla Bailey added eight points and eight rebounds.

The Pelham girls basketball team, now 1-1, got rocked by Souhegan, 64-36, in their second game of the season. Center Brian Szidat led the Pelham attack with 19 points but the team failed to give her any help as the next highest individual point total was six.

UMass Lowell-bound Briana Szidat scored 31 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked nine shots to lead Pelham to a 55-51 win over Bedford. Alex Catalano also played well, finishing with 10 points, 9 assists and 5 steals.
