The Pelham runner placed second in the 1,500 meter run at the Division 2 state championships at Dartmouth, bested by Bow's Jonathan Vinnenberg in a time of 4:06.50 that was almost five seconds faster than the two-year-old record he broke. Hammar ran a personal-best 4:15.54 as runner-up.

Windham's wrestling team remained unbeaten in Division 3 with a 66-9 thrashing of Pelham. In two of the best matches of the day, Windham's Jeff Armstrong edged Pelham's Jared Boyden 8-6 in overtime at 106 while, at 138, Pelham's Kevin DeAngelo prevailed by the same 8-6 score.

Salem swept a four-team meet over Souhegan, Pelham and Hollis-Brookline. Sophomore Kadie Tommasi and freshman Marrina Mayo went 1-2 in the all-around. Freshman Kelsey Collins placed for the first time with a third on bars. The Blue Devils also got a fine effort from junior Samantha Cloutier, who placed in all three of her events. Coach Ginnie LaVallo also had high praise for freshman Amber Chopelas. Sophomore Ashley Myer made a strong return from injury.
