No. 5 Londonderry saw No. 12 Dover knock down a 3-pointer with nine seconds left to upset the Lancers 47-46 in the Division 1 first round. Delaney McGurn and Kelsey Coffey each led Londonderry with 11 points.

Lancers heating up

The Londonderry girls hoops team is winners of three straight, including a 58-57 nailbitting win against Winnacunnet. Sophomore Amanda DeAngelis had 20 points and a four 3s, and frosh Courtney Shay added 14 points. The Lancers have one more game at Keene before the Division 1 tournament begins.

An agressive Pentucket team had no problems getting to the free throw line, nailing 15 freebies to help beat Londonderry 52-44 in the consolotion game of the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic. Alyssa Demeule had 14 points to lead the Sachems, who will play Central Catholic in the fifth place game Friday at 4:30 p.m. Londonderry will play Winnacunnet in the seventh place game Friday at 2:45 p.m.
