Pelham bows out

Just days after knocking off No. 2 Prospect Mountain, Pelham High threw a scare into No.7 Gilford, before falling, 2-1, in the NH Division 3 soccer quarterfinals.
The Pythons, who finish at 8-10, grabbed a 1-0 lead on Dylan Sacca's goal, carrying the advantage to halftime.
But an early injury to Victor Romeo really hurt the attack, and Gilford rallied to win.
"He injured his hamstring," said coach Matt Miller. "Without him, our offensive pressure just wasn't there."

Pelham upset defending champs

The No. 15 seeded Pelham boys soccer team shocked the defending Division 3 state champions, beating No. 2 seeded Prospect Mountain 2-1. The Pythons took a two-goal lead thanks to Victor Romeo and Matt Drolet, and Sean Gellar made 20 saves while shutting PM out until the final minute to clinch the win.

Pelham takes over

Unable to solve Sanborn's defense early, the Pelham boys soccer team took control in the second half, with a goal by Victor Romeo giving the Pythons the lead in the 43rd minute and then two quick goals 15 minutes later from Zac Rossi and Dylan Sacca to put the game away. Sanborn's lone goal came late from Logan Kalinowski. Pelham will move on to face Prospect Mountain in the second round of the Division 3 tournament on Thursday.

Romeo, Becker lead Pelham

Victor Romeo scored two goals in just over a minute, and then Alex Becker scored the winner to help Pelham boys soccer beat Bishop Brady 3-2.
