Danvers scored a first quarter touchdown on Chris Martin's 8-yard run, and Nick Pellino added the extra point. But host Lynn Classical scored the game's final 32 points in a 32-7 victory at Manning Field.
Sophomore Eric Burgos got his first start at quarterback and played pretty well, said Danvers (0-5) coach John Sullivan.
"We showed flashes of being a good team and (Mike) Vinagro ran well, but we were inconsistent on offense and defense," said Sullivan.
"But we have to get better in a hurry because the (NEC divisional) games start next week."
