Sibanda, Salem smashes Nashua North

SALEM — The unbeaten Salem football team made short work of Nashua North on Friday night, with Josh Sibanda erupting for 240 yards rushing and three touchdowns to help pace the 60-14 win.

Salem led 33-14 at halftime and then scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to cruise to victory. In addition to Sibanda's monster night, Dom Paci also rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, and quarterback Matt Soldano had a 40-yard touchdown pass to Mike Langmaid.

Adam Maroun got the scoring started for Salem with a 9-yard touchdown run in the first, followed shortly after by Sibanda's first score from 8 yards out.

Sibanda's second touchdown came from 27 yards out in the second quarter, and then after Soldano's touchdown to Langmaid, Sibanda struck again for an 83-yard rush.

Paci scored both of his touchdowns back to back in the third quarter, the first coming from 2 yards out and the second from 15. Brandon Wall finished the third quarter with a 36-yard touchdown run, and in the fourth Dylan McKeon finished the scoring with a 4-yard run.

Salem (8-0) remains in first place in the Division 1 South. Although one week remains in the regular season, the Blue Devils are set to face Londonderry in the first round of the state tournament.
