Goujon, Pinkerton blast Merrimack

MERRIMACK — The final test before the playoffs went well for Pinkerton.

Quarterback Aiden Goujon threw for 229 yards and four touchdowns, and the Astros blew out Merrimack on the road, 56-21.

Goujon hit Ty Hicks twice and Elias Grinnell once in the first half to help Pinkerton (8-1) take a commanding 35-7 lead at the half. Hicks and Gannon Fast each had touchdown runs in the first half as well.

Then in the third, Goujon hit Ryan Auger on a 58-yard bomb to end his day. Ched Tereky's 16-yard touchdown and Trent Luduc's 28-yard TD completed the Pinkerton scoring.   

In total, 12 different Pinkerton rushers combined for 371 total yards on 37 carries. 

Pinkerton is the top Wild Card team in the South/West Division bracket, and will travel to Nashua South (7-2) next Saturday at 1 p.m.
