Just days after knocking off No. 2 Prospect Mountain, Pelham High threw a scare into No.7 Gilford, before falling, 2-1, in the NH Division 3 soccer quarterfinals.
The Pythons, who finish at 8-10, grabbed a 1-0 lead on Dylan Sacca's goal, carrying the advantage to halftime.
But an early injury to Victor Romeo really hurt the attack, and Gilford rallied to win.
"He injured his hamstring," said coach Matt Miller. "Without him, our offensive pressure just wasn't there."
