Coach: Chris Perry (24th season)

Last season: 18-4, lost in first round of Division 3 North tournament

Key players: Jordan Oliva, sr.; Katie Hathaway, sr.; Abbey Pare, sr.; Kelsey Fournier, sr.; Jackie Webber, jr.; Katelyn Bartley, jr.; Allison Thorton, jr.; Gabby Magnifico, jr.; Kerri Salvatore, so.

Newcomers: Michelle Ring, jr.; Maggie Santosuosso, jr.; Laura Kaminski, fr.; Anna Webber, fr.

Strengths: Behind the area's best returning starting pitcher, Jordan Oliva, Amesbury should have a solid defensive team.

Concerns: The Indians have to replace three starters from a year ago, Katie Enaire at shortstop as well as Lindsey Miller and Angela Lattime in the outfield.

First game:  Amesbury at Andover, April 7 (3:45 p.m.)

Coach's outlook: "We have a tough schedule in a good league with some good out-of-conference games, so we will just take it one game at a time."
