Danny Fitzgerald, in his first game back from a fractured back, and Tommy Hogan each had two free throws in the final 30 seconds and Evan Wade had a big steal with five seconds left as North Reading nipped Amesbury, 48-46.

Will Angelini recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds as Pentucket cruised past Amesbury, 65-46. Corey McNamara fired five successful 3-pointers on his way to a 17-point night.

Sarah Higgins poured in a career-high 21 points to lead Pentucket girls basketball to a 58-28 victory over Amesbury.

Junior forward Isaiah Nelsen scored a career-best 24 points, with half of those points coming from long range, to lead North Andover past Amesbury, 80-56. Zach Karalis added 16 points for the 6-1 Knights.

 Morgan Lumb had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 8 steals as North Andover whipped Amesbury 52-30. Freshman Leah Chittick reached double figures for the first time with 10 points.

Marisa Agganis came up huge for Georgetown, scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a 50-41 victory over Amesbury. Kristin Hogan led all scorers with 18 points for the Royals.

After beating Amesbury by 11 points in the River Rivals Tourney, Georgetown ran into trouble stopping Amesbury's offense in the second half, falling to the Indians, 75-67. Tyler Wade led the Royals with 26 points in the setback.

Georgetown center Patrick Bjork tied a school record, pulling down 21 rebounds in a 55-44 win over Amesbury. Bjork, a 6-foot-6 sophomore, tied the mark set by Neph Carmona two seasons ago. He also added a career high 13 points, including seven points from the line, in the win.

Lauren Hebert and Morgan Maiola both netted 16 points as North Reading girls basketball won 61-40 over Amesbury.

For the first time in recent memory, possibly as long as 30 years, North Reading's field hockey team earned a postseason berth by shutting out Amesbury, 2-0.
