Pentucket took its first lead of the game in the third overtime, and paced by a career-high 32 points by Kelsi McNamara the Sachems stunned North Reading 60-52 in three OTs.
Trailing by nine with 2:50 to go, the Sachems rallied to send the game into overtime. After the two teams played to a draw in the first extra session, the Hornets grabbed a three-point lead with 13 seconds remaining in the second OT.
But, coming out of a time out, McNamara nailed a three-pointer in the closing seconds to keep the game alive. The Sachems then grabbed control in the third overtime to seal the win.
McKenna Killian was the next high scorer for Pentucket with 16 while Jess Lezon led North Reading with 17 points.
"We were down and out and we stuck with it," said Sachem coach John McNamara. "Our kids didn't quit and somehow pulled it out when it didn't look possible
