Central girls lacrosse (14-4, 8-0) captured the MVC smal school championship with a 13-9 victory over Haverhill.  Courtney O'Neil led the way with four goals. 

Katey Scionti, Erin Masucci, Taylor O'Neil and Claire Foggo anchored a superb effort on the back for Central Catholic in a 10-4 girls lax win over Lowell.

Central's Courtney Smith and Colleen Slein scored in the last 90 seconds to force OT, and Slein, Courtney Kellogg and Bianca Sacco scored in OT for a 14-12 win over Lowell. Sacco led with five goals. Unsung hero Gina Iannazzi was a force on defense.

Courtney O'Neil netted five goals, but Central just couldn't get over the hump, running out of time in an 11-10 girls lax loss to Billerica.

Called up from the JV team before the game, sophomore Carolina Sappal scored twice in her first career varsity contest, as Central Catholic downed Matignon 14-3.

Trailing by 1, Katie Helfrich tied it with a minute to go and Courtney O'Neil netted the game-winner with 36 seconds left as Central Catholic rallied past Medford 8-7.

Central Catholic's third-year girls lacrosse program is growing slowly but surely, hanging close with perennial playoff participant Chelmsford before falling, 11-9. Midfielder Christine Keenan impressed on both ends of the field while Bianca Sacco (four goals) and Courtney O'Neil (three goals) drove the Raider offense.

Courtney O'Neil, Colleen Slein and Bianca Sacco each scored three goals as Central Catholic flew to a 14-4 season-opening drubbing of Matignon.
