Tenacious Timberlane defense forced many Alvirne turnovers and poor shot choices, enabling the Owls to survive a 3 1/2 minute fourth-quarter scoreless string and take third place, 52-48.

Katie Matatall, named to the All-Tournament team, was on fire from the outside as she drained four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 19-point performance. Matatall was clutch as a late lay-in and free throw helped keep Alvirne at arm's length.
