Timberlane connected on seven 3-pointers, but a 17-4 discrepancy at the free throw line for Londonderry proved decisive in a 49-39 victory for the Lancers. Jamie Uphold had 11 points and five steals for the Lancers and Amanda Butterfield had eight points nd nine rebounds.

In a little more than a half, Katie Matatall pumped in a career-high 23 points with five 3-pointers as Timberlane dumped Concord, 51-36. Taylor Cefalo added nine points and eight assists.

Shooting an impressive 21 of 29 at the foul line, Timberlane won a 49-37 war against Nashua South. Leading scorer Katie Matatall (12 points) was 10 of 11 from the stripe while Sydney Doherty came off the bench and went 3 for 3 from the field to aid the Owls.

Keene made four missed Timberlane free throws down the stretch hurt, nailing a jumper at the buzzer to pull out a 36-34 victory. Junior Meghan Short (9 rebounds and 5 steals) and sophomore Emily Rose (8 rebounds) were immense on the boards for the Owls.

Katie Matatall's 3-pointer and a Timberlane defensive stop set up a shot at victory but a late turnover foiled the Owls in a 40-37 setback to Alvirne. Meghan Short (9 rebounds and 6 assists) and Emily Rose (12 boards) had a hand in getting Timberlane back into contention.

Junior Megan Short recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Timberlane to a 51-46 win over Merrimack. Short also had four assists and a pair of steals to help the Owls improve to 6-2. Teammates Taylor Cefalo and Page Travaglini had 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Crucial turnovers late in overtime spelled doom for Timberlane in a 50-46 setback to Bishop Guertin. Meghan Short (5 points and 6 assists) and Emily Rose (13 points and 7 rebounds) led the way for the Owls.

Tenacious Timberlane defense forced many Alvirne turnovers and poor shot choices, enabling the Owls to survive a 3 1/2 minute fourth-quarter scoreless string and take third place, 52-48.

Katie Matatall, named to the All-Tournament team, was on fire from the outside as she drained four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 19-point performance. Matatall was clutch as a late lay-in and free throw helped keep Alvirne at arm's length.

Timberlane easily dispatched of Pelham, 60-28, and will take on an ever-strong Swampscott squad that ran away from Cambridge Rindge & Latin, 61-37 to open Sunday’s Greater Haverhill Christmas Tourney play.
