Central Catholic's boys soccer team lost in the Division 2 North tournament to Wayland, 1-0, desite a strong performance by the Raiders (7-7-4). Senior midfielders Liam Johnson and Dan Caruso and forward Chris Wilbar all played solid games.

The Great Grazio

Jared Grazio, who usually plays striker off the bench, was pressed into duty in goal and came up big. The Haverhill junior stopped nine shots to blank Central Catholic, 1-0. Grazio was playing because Mike Ferragamo was out with the flu.

Hillies Slein by Raiders

Huge saves from Connor Slein at the end of the first and second halves made Dan Caruso's goal stand up in Central Catholic's 1-0 victory over Haverhill. Slein had six saves to prevail over Hillie netminder Mike Ferragamo (three saves) in the defensive battle.

75 unforgettable seconds

Central Catholic scored all three of its goals in a 75-second span midway through the second half to beat Andover, 3-2. Josh Voto scored twice for the Raiders and Dan Caruso had the other goal.

Dracut 2, Central Catholic 1

Kyle Aadie's second half goal off a bobbled ball in front of the Central Catholic net made the difference in Dracut's 2-1 victory. Brad Donahue provided an excellent effort defensively for the Raiders (1-1) to keep them in the game. Josh Voto scored the lone Central goal early in the second half.
