Elijah Haas (14 points), Angel Burgos (11), Phillip Cunningham (10) and Jeremyah Phillips (9) led a balanced offensive effort as Haverhill tripped up Dracut, 62-53, to improve to 13-6 heading into the regular season finale at Lowell Catholic. Tip-off is 2:30 p.m.

Kevin Garcia scored all 15 of his points in the second half, including nine in the crucial fourth quarter that saw Methuen turn a five-point deficit into a 58-51 victory over Dracut. Freshman Anesti Touma knocked down a crucial 3-pointer with two minutes left for the winners.

Aidan Heim had another solid game with 13 points and 7 rebounds as North Andover won its fourth straight, 61-45 over Dracut.

Dracut's 3-pointer at the buzzer rimmed out as Haverhill prevailed 66-64. Manny Arias and Jeremy Valdez both tossed in 14 points. Coach Souleymane Wane said Valdez is a 6-7 freshman who has missed almost all of the season while in the Dominican.

Anthony Traficante had his best game of the season, scoring 20 points and controlling the boards, as Central Catholic held off Dracut, 65-62. Xavier McKenzie chipped in with 16 for the Raiders (6-2).

Despite 19 points and a whopping 22 rebounds from Gabriel Zorrilla, Lawrence fell to Dracut 70-68. "It was a (tourney) hangover like last year," said Lawrence coach Jesus Moore.
