Sydney Goodwin scored the first goal of the game but North Reading took over after that and beat Greater Lawrence 5-1 in first round girls soccer tourney action. Venecia Perez led the Reggies' defense and Serena Torres made 22 saves. Rachel Hill and Jessica Muise had two goals each in the win.

Taylor Schmitz scored her 11th and 12th goals this season as Greater Lawrence girls soccer won 4-0 over Lowell Catholic. 

The Reggies reached their 10th win for the first time in the program's four-year varsity history. 

Four years ago, the first year Greater Lawrence girls soccer team went 0-18. Now they are 9-5-1 and headed to the state tourney. Eddith Garcia got the Reggies the berth with a goal with three minutes left to beat Nashoba Tech 1-0. It was Garcia's second goal of the year, both coming in the last two games. Serena Torres (4 saves) notched the shutout.

Serena Torres (3 saves) posted her fifth shutout of the year and Greater Lawrence blanked Northeast 2-0. Freshman Sydney Goodwin scored both goals, one off an assist from Eveline Peguero, who notched her first career point.

The Greater Lawrence girls soccer team improved to  4-3, which is the first time in its four-year history that it's been over .500 with a 2-1 win over Innovation Academy. Taylor Schmitz had a goal and an assist, Gabby Ixlaj had the game-winner and Serena Torres was superb in goal with 14 saves.

Freshman Sydney Goodwin scored twice to pace Greater Lawrence to a 3-0 shutout of Lynn Tech. Taylor Schmitz had a goal and an assist for the Reggies.
