With several scouts in attendance, junior Samnell Vonleh had 16 points, 16 rebounds and 12 blocked shots as Whittier's girls clipped a good Somerville team, 71-62. Andrea Terranova had 18 points for the Wildcats (2-0) and Michaela Martin scored 13 points and played superb defense on Somwerville's best scorer.
