Haverhill's wrestling team, without three of its best wrestlers (Reece Millington, Jordan Faulkner and Samie Al-Ziab), all out with injuries or illness, defeated Tewksbury 45-29. Freshman Justin Bustamante sparked the win with a first period pin in the opening match at 120 pounds and Luc Chretien had a huge win over Tewksbury standout Brock Dokos at 182.

Tied with Westford at 28-28, Methuen's Saul Cabrera got a late takedown and back points for a 10-7 win at 195, Mike Golio followed with a pin at 220 and Alex Lima had a late takedown for a 9-8 decision as the Rangers defeated Westford 40-28 on their way to four wins at Lowell.

North Andover senior Zane Mellilo made his first appearance on the mat of the season a successful one with a 54-second pin at 138 as the Knights rolled over Tewksbury 69-10. North Andover (8-1) hardly broke a sweat as they recorded 11 pins, including 10 in the first period. Seven of those came within a minute, the fastest being in 25 seconds by freshman 106-pounder Jack Perry.
