North Andover qualifies in thriller

With its back to the wall, North Andover came through, holding off Pentucket Regional, 3-2, to punch the Knight ticket to the Division 2 North baseball tourney.
Chris Bosco's RBI hit put North Andover up 3-1 in the top of the seventh, and while starting pitcher Dan Rivet bent in the bottom half, the senior stood tall when it mattered and shut the door.
With the score at 3-2 and runners on second-and-third, Rivet reared back and finished the complete game win with a strikeout.
Moved to the leadoff spot, Tyler Whitley had a pair of hits and scored a pair of runs for the Knights, who use the Sullivan Rule to qualify for the postseason at 7-13.
