Tyler Masone only scored five points but they were a big five points for Windham. Masone scored a layup and knocked down a 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter to put the Jaguars ahead by five points.

Lowman, Lorenz hot in clutch

Windham's Andrew Lowman knocked down a jumper to tie the game with 15 seconds left in regulation, then broke up the inbounds pass to send the game into overtime. Teammate Joe Lorenz then took over, hitting a pair of 3-pointers and going 4 for 4 from the free throw line in OT to give the Jaguars a 70-60 win over St. Thomas.

The Northern Essex men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to UConn-Avery Point, 59-58, to drop to 8-10. Matt Sifferlen led the Knights with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while Will Angelini combined 16 points and 11 rebounds and Kyle Davis chipped in with 10 points.

Streak snapped

After trailing Plymouth by eight points midway through the third quarter, Windham surged behind team-oriented offense to take the lead in the fourth, holding on for a 53-51 triumph to snap a five-game losing streak. A balanced attack featuring Tucker Lippold (10 points) and Zach Hennessey (8 points) helped Windham survive when high-scorer Andrew Lowman (17 points) fouled out with a minute left.

After trailing by six points with 37 seconds left, Windham turned its game into a one-possession contest on free throws from Connor Redmond and a layup from David Carbonello (15 points). A steal with 6.5 seconds left set up one last shot at victory but a 3-point attempt hit the back of the rim and sailed out as Oyster River prevailed, 69-67.
