Michael Terranova earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles to pace No. 10 North Andover to a 5-0 win at No. 7 Gloucester, in the first round of the Division 2 North sectionals.

Cam McCarthy and Sameer Sangal won a three-setter at No. 2 doubles and Andover swept North Andover 5-0.

Kyle White, in his first ever singles match, won at No. 3 and the new first singles doubles team of Alex Hammond and Justin Boudreau were victorious as North Andover tripped Manchester Essex 3-2.

Down 4-0 in the final set in the decisive match, North Andover's first doubles team of Andrew Smith and Kyle White won six straight games to give North Andover a 3-2 victory over North Reading, handing the Hornets their first loss of the season. Earlier, the second doubles team of Justin Daly and Jonah Knopping prevailed 6-2, 6-4 in thir first varsity match.

With the score tied at 2-2,  Pentucket freshman Jack Donahue rallied for a 7-6, 0-6, 6-4 victory to lift the Sachems to a huge 3-2 season-opening win over North Andover. Mike Terranova had an exciting three-set win for the Knights at first singles.
