Tewksbury Redmen Softball '12

'Best record'

 

 

North Reading's softball team enjoyed an impressive 4-1 victory over Tewksbury to finish the regular season at 18-2, which its best mark going into the tournament since 1991. Leadoff batter Shelby Carney was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Terri Ferrazzani threw a three-hitter for the win.

Tourney qualifier

 

Methuen's softball team edged Tewksbury, 7-6 in nine innings under the lights to qualify for the tournament for the 10th straight year. Roseli Rodriguez drove in the winning tun to make a winner of Chrissy Scionti. Sydney Littlefield had three hits, including a three-run triple in the sixth.

Heart of the order

 

Courtney Bradley and Nicole Perusse, batting in the third and fourth spots, were both 4 for 4 and had hits in the top of the eighth to key a 6-4 Methuen victory over Tewksbury. Bradley had a double and triple and scored three runs for the Rangers (5-3).

Duel goes to Antczak

Freshman Olivia Antczak out-dueled her Tewksbury opponent, allowing just two hits and striking out 11 as Central Catholic beat Tewksbury 2-0.
