CAMBRIDGE — Rachel Moore shed a few tears while huddling with teammates Ashlee Korsberg, Alexa Korsberg and Maggie D'Innocenzo before swimming the 400 freestyle relay yesterday.

She knew it was her last high school race. 

Deborah Daly set an Andover school record for diving (490.05), while Ashlee Korsberg set a meet record in the 500 yard freestyle (4:56.39).

Andover swimming won big, posting 398.5 points — 199.5 more points than second-place Acton-Boxborough at the North Sectional swimming and diving championship at Havard last night.

The power outtages in Andover prevented the Andover High swim team from practicing for an entire week, but the Golden Warriors were still able to surge to victory in the MVC Division 1 championship last night with 549 points.

Maggie Franklin stood out for Haverhill winning the 50 freestyle, the 100 breaststroke and taking part on two winning relays as the Hillies defeated Central Catholic 99-69 to finish the regular season at 8-2.

Sarah and Meaghan Broderick both swam excellent to help Haverhill defeat Methuen in swimming. 

Sarah won the 50 freestyle (24.43) and the 100 freestyle (54.07). Meaghan won the 100 breastroke (1:23.45). The two also helped the 200 medley relay team and the 200 freestyle relay team earn victories. 

Emily Brown and Sarah Broderick were double winners and teammed on a relay win as Haverhill tripped Billerica 97-87.

Haverhill's swim team posted its fourth straight win, beating Dracut, 96-69. Shelby Duckworth was the swimmer of the meet for the Hillies, slashing eight seconds from her best time in the 200 IM and five seconds in the 500 freestyle, scoring points in both events.

Freshman Emily Brown (100 butterfly) and Emily Meserve (100 breaststroke) led Haverhill in an easy win over Notre Dame.
