Central Catholic's baseball team ended its regular season on an upswing, clubbing Chelmsford 10-6. The Raiders (12-6, 8-4 in MVC) drilled 16 hits, led by the top of the order. Zach Bardwell, Ryan Sullivan and Colin Walsh (3 for 3) combined for seven hits and Walsh had two RBIs and scored three times. Alex Valenti was also 3 for 3.

The hits just keep on comin'

Five days, five games and four straight wins for Central Catholic, capping the rugged stretch with a 16-2 blowout of a Holy Name team that had won its last six contests. The Raiders pounded out 22 hits, four off the bat of ninth hitter Nick Gorski along with three RBIs. Dan Shields and Alex Valenti (two hits and four RBIs apiece) also contributed to the onslaught.

Central Catholic 13, St. Mary's Lynn 4

Surging during a marathon stretch of games, Central Catholic traveled to Lynn and took down 18th ranked St. Mary's by an emphatic 13-4 decision. The Raiders unleashed a 19-hit barrage led by three hits and three RBIs from Brian Allen. Ryan Sullivan and Andrew Breen also drove in three runs apiece in the victory.

Happy birthday, Brian

Senior Brian Allen gave himself a nice birthday present — a two-hit, three-RBI effort from the ninth spot in the lineup as Central Catholic humbled Andover, 13-3. After throwing a complete game victory at St. Mary's of Lynn less than 24 hours before, Paul Trabucco went 2 for 4 and scored three runs in another strong offensive game for the Raiders.
