Newburyport's Anna Hickman knocked down three 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 19 points as Newburyport girls basketball beat Manchester Essex 55-36 for its third consecutive win. Abigail Gillingham added 12 points and Katie Hadden had 9 points as the Clippers improved to 3-3 on the year.

Angelica Hurley did it all with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals, Angelina Yacubacci led the scoring with 16 points and Maddie Doyle drilled four 3-pointers for 12 points as Pentucket's girls whipped Manchester Essex 65-34.

Triton girls basketball sent out its three senions as winners on Tuesday, beating Rockport on Senior Night 54-23. Meredith Kennedy scored 12 points, Kate Carter and Emily Karvielis scored 10 points each, and the Vikings collectively held Rockport to just seven points in the second half. Triton will wrap up its season on Thursday at North Reading.

Trailing Manchester Essex 39-34 going into the fourth quarter, Amesbury mounted a late comeback to win 63-60 in overtime. Ciara Sullivan hit the game-winning shot with 20 seconds left in overtime, and Sadie Kermelewicz iced it with free throws down the stretch. Catherine Laforte also hit three of her four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and overtime, and Alli Napoli led the team with 21 points. Amesbury also welcomed back leading scorer Flannery O'Connor, who scored 9 points in limited minutes as she works her way back from an ankle injury. Coach Matt Willis said O'Connor won't play in the team's next game, but has made good progress.

Triton girls basketball may have lost 54-49 to Manchester Essex on Tuesday, but Alex and Meredith Kennedy had their best showing of the season together. The twins each scored 17 points, helping the Vikings mount a late fourth quarter comeback that fell just short. Triton fell to 6-9 on the season with the loss.

The Amesbury girls basketball team had to hang on towards the end, but the Indians were able to outlast Manchester Essex 42-40 on Monday night. Flannery O'Connor led the team with 14 points, and Alli Napoli added 13 in the win, which improved Amesbury to 7-2 on the season.

Holding a slim 19-18 lead going into halftime, the Triton girls crushed Rockport in the second half, outscoring the opposition 20-4 in the third quarter en route to a 45-25 win on Tuesday. Alex Kennedy led the way with nine points in a balanced overall offensive effort.

THe Newburyport girls basketball team improved to 5-0 with its 58-45 win over Manchester Essex on Tuesday. Krysta Padellaro led the Clippers with 17 points and Anna Hickman had 16 points, knocking down a team-high three 3-pointers.

The Sachems took off early and never looked back in a dominant 65-28 showing over Manchester Essex. Jess Galvin led the Sachem with 14 points, Casey Hunt had 10 points and Angelina Yacubacci tallied eight.

Emma Dunlevy hit a basket with 12 seconds to play to help give Georgetown a 35-34 win over Rockport for the team's first win of the season. Dunlevy scored 10 of her 11 points in the second half to lead the way.

Carly Swartz knocked down 6 three-pointers and dished out 8 assists in a 26-pont performance that led the North Reading girls over Manchester Essex Friday night. Jess Lezon added 17 points and 23 rebounds, as North Reading improved to 10-1. 

Kelsi McNamara hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Pentucket a 45-42 victory over Manchester Essex. McNamara led all scorers with 24 points but the Sachems struggled with their shooting and didn't lead until the final shot.
