HAVERHILL – When Matt Pappalardo went to the plate in the top of the sixth Sunday afternoon, he couldn’t be sure how many more at bats he might have left in his stellar career.

Cecilia Sinopoli, Laura Fennessy and Rayniah Mercedat each scored their first varsity goal as Central Catholic girls soccer topped Lawrence 6-0.

Will Miele shot a 40 for and 2-and-1 victory as Central Catholic remained undefeated, edging fellow unbeaten Chelmsford 11-9. Mac McCarthy was right behind with a 41 and a 3-and-1 win.

Ian Maresca scored three goals as Central Catholic bested Haverhill 6-1.

Macy Daigle scored both Central Catholic goals and Lauren Sanchez made five saves for the shutout as the Raiders beat Chelmsford 2-0.

Lucy Irwin had a goal and two assists, while Alyssa Furtado netted her varsity goal in Central Catholic's 4-0 win over Dracut. Macy Daigle and Isabella Vena each had a goal for the Raiders.

Amelia Barron won the 200 IM (2:19.67) and 100 backstroke (1:04.62) and swam on the winning 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays as Andover beat Central Catholic 95-73. Michaela Chokureva took the 200 freestyle (1:56.55) and 100 butterfly (57.01) and swam on both freestyle relays. Maddie McAloon won the 50 freestyle (25.39) for the Raiders.
