GILFORD — It's been long awaited, but Pelham picked up its first win since the 2014 season with a 19-12 victory over Gilford Saturday afternoon.
Quarterback Zack Koch hooked up with Charlie Katin for a 9-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to give Pelham a 7-6 lead, and the Pythons didn't look back from there.

Pelham lost a pitcher's duel to Gillfors, 3-1, in the Division 3 quarterfinals. Losing pitcher Jordan Parece gave up only five hits and no earned runs but Gilford pitcher gave up only one hit, a solo home run to Sarah-Jayne Spicer.

Pelham's unbeaten golf team continued to dominate its Division 3 oppoisition. Led by a par-36 from Jake Vaiknoras, the Pythons (8-0) scored 155 points, defeating runner-up Gilford by a whopping 22 strokes in a three-team meet. Brad Pomerleau was two strokes back with a 38.

Paradis now has 105 points (65 goals) on the season. He's the first Python ever to crack 100 points in the 8-year history of the program said coach Matt Regan.
