Whittier Tech's softball team warmed up for the Division 3 North tournament by rolling to the State Vocational State Title Wednesday, clipping Blackstone 7-2. Kayla Riley struck out 17 batters for the third time this year to pick up the win, Dominique Ortiz had two doubles and four RBIs and Ashley Wilson had a home run and two RBIs as the Wildcats improved to 18-3.

Doucette also allowed just four hits and struck out five in six innings to earn the victory.
