Keith Linnane made a whopping 47 saves, and after two scoreless periods North Reading made that effort stand by scoring three times to give the Hornets a 3-0 victory over Sandwich in the Jeff Hayes Tourney final. Nick Day scored two goals and Sean McGreal added the other.

The Central Catholic baseball team did it all in an easy 12-0 romp over Sandwich. Liam Doherty went fivetwo-hit innings for the win while Cam Devanney had two hits and three RBIS and Brady Abraham had two hits and two RBIs. Anthony Licari had three hits and scored a run.

North Andover was fast out of the blocks, and had enough to hang on.

The No. 9 Scarlet Knights flew out to a seven-goal lead in the first half, and finished off a 9-4 victory over No. 24 Sandwich in the preliminary round of the Division 2 East tourney.
