Senior tri-captain Kyle Harris finished up 13-0 in dual matches at No. 3 singles. He posted the lone win for North Reading, which fell to Weston 4-1, in the Division 3 North finals. It was quite a year for the Hornets, though. This was their first ever appearance in the North finals.

North Reading won the EMass. Divisoin 4 meet by over 20 points. The Hornets got wins from Julia Valenti in the pole vault, Emily Murray in the shot, Cole Godzinski in the 100 hurdles and Nicole Roberts in the 2-mile.

Reggies fight, bow out

Greater Lawrence Tech fought to the end, bringing the tying run to the plate in the seventh before falling to Weston in the Division 3 North tourney opener, 8-6.
With two outs in the seventh, Oscar Reynoso and Marc Ayala singled, followed by Jon Alvarez, who reached on an error, scoring one. Angel Abreu followed with a two-run double, but the rally ended there, as did the Reggies season.

Greater Lawrence holds off Weston

With the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the seventh, shortstop Danielle Sierra made a stellar play and throw home to cut down the runner at home plate for the first out of the inning, and Maggie Santomassino finished off the victory with a strikout to give No. 10 Greater Lawrence an 8-6 victory over No. 23 Weston in the Division 3 North prelminary round.

A little bit Moore

Point guard Alex Moore was the star of the day as Pentucket whipped Weston, 52-34, in the quarterfinals of the Division 3 North tourney. The sophomore contributed 6 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Leigh McNamara and Sarah Higgins set the tone with their defense. Coley Viselli led all scorers with 17 points and four 3-pointers. In the semis the Sachems will play the winner of tonight's St. Mary's-Triton game.
