With her team down two after three quarters, Georgetown coach BarriAnn Alonzo gathered her team for one last pep talk.

"I told them that they needed to play like it was their last, or it would be their last game."

And play they did. The 14th seeded Royals outscored third seeded Shawsheen 21-9 in the fourth quarter to upset the hosts 60-50 in the first round of the Division 4 North tournament.

Senior Taryn O'Connell had a huge night for Georgetown with 24 points and 15 rebounds. She scored 13 in the fourth quarter.

Kelli O'Brien scored two points and had four of Georgetown's 17 steal.

"She has these go-go gadget arms," said Alonzo. "I don't how she does it but she does."

Sophomore Michelle Reilly, playing in her first tournament game, had a career-high 13 points to go along with six assists.

Georgetown advances to the Division 4 quarterfinals where they will play Minuteman (date and time, TBA).
