Julio Colon had 16 points, but it wasn't enough as the Georgetown boys basketball team lost to Cathedral, 54-53. The Royals closed out the first half with an 18-14 lead, but Cathedral dropped a ridiculous 40 points in the second half to pull away. Go-to-guy Jaymie Spears (nine points on 2-for-19 shooting) had a buzzer-beating field goal attempt clank off the front of the rim to end the game. Georgetown struggled mightily from the free-throw line (16 of 31), and also missed seven easy layups.
