ROCHESTER, N.H. — Derek Furey scored three times and Erik Hatton was good on 80-percent of his passes (8 for 10) as Timberlane cruised past winless Spaulding, 37-7.
Furey rushed for 107 yards and he scored on rushes of 1, 54 and 22 yards.
“We controlled the game from start to finish,” said Timberlane head coach Kevin Fitzgerald. “They had trouble moving the ball and I was happy with our offensive execution.”
Hatton opened the scoring when he found Matt Caiazzo on a 19-yard touchdown pass. The Owls (7-2, 6-1 in Division 2) opened a 20-0 lead in the first quarter.
Defensively, Matt Faia and Luce Alper each had interceptions. The Owls conclude the regular season by hosting Alvirne, on Friday (6:30 p.m.).
