CHIOPEE — Timmy Dias fired a superb 1-over par 71 at the Chicopee Country Club Monday to pace North Andover to fourth place at the Division 1 state golf tournament.
Xaverian won the team title with a collective score of 297, five strokes better than St. John's Prep and Lincoln-Sudbury, which tied for secon, three strokes better than the Knights, who were playing in their first D1 tourney.
The score by Dias was the fourth lowest of the day and put him in fifth place. Brookline's James Imai was the medalist on the day with a 4-under-par 67, three strokes ahead of runner-up Joseph Lenane of Xaverian.
Also for North Andover, Adam Heinze tied for 15th individually with a 76 and James Robbins checked in with a 77. Andover's Mac Lee, who qualified as an individual, shot a 79 and North Andover's Thomas Finn finished with an even 80.
