Central Catholic defeated Wilmington, 3-0, thanks to an impressive performance by Ashley Evangelista (two goals, one assist). It was tight through the first half, but three second half goals secured the Division 2 North opening round victory for the Raiders.
Rounding out the scoring, Megan Jowett netted Central's third goal, and Kelly Mikus and Gia O'Connor recorded assists. Lauren Hoole finished with seven saves.
Also playing particularly well on defense for Central were Danielle Goglia and Alyssa Reilly.
