BILLERICA — An undermaned Greater Lawrence team pushed Shawsheen to the fourth quarter, but the Rams were able to run out the clock late in the fourth quarter to pick up the 20-17 win.

The Reggies (3-3) were down right from the jump after Shawsheen (4-2) returned the opening kickoff for a score, and suffered a huge blow when electric senior quarterback Jose Caceres went down with an injury in the second quarter. He left the game did not return.

Backup QB Marc Travers did well in relief. He threw for 68 yards on 5-of-6 passing, and also had a sack on defense.

Ader Mezidor scored on 4-yard rush and then Franklin Morales connected for a 17-yard field goal to bring the Reggies three, 13-10, at the half. David White scored midway through the fourth quarter, but the Reggies couldn't get the ball back to tie it at the end.

Defensively, Donnie Croteau and Luis Torres each had an interception, and Malib Pastrana led the Reggies with six tackles.

Greater Lawrence is at Mystic Valley on Saturday for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
