BOSTON — Brandon Wilbur scored three touchdowns on two long runs and a pick-6 and Pentucket pummelled Boston Latin, 37-0, in a non-playoff game.

It was 28-0 after one period and 37-0 at the half and then the Sachems, who improved to 2-6, went deep into the bench.

Peter Cleary had two interceptions including a 27-yard return for a score in the opening quarter.

Pentucket's defense dominated a Boston Latin team (0-9) which was averaging 3.5 points a game.

Among the standouts were lineman Wilbur, Cleary, lineman Jacob Luke, linebacker Liam Murray and linebacker Jacob Codaire.

The season hasn't gone as they had hoped, but Pentucket coach Steve Hayden said the fight is still there.

Hayden said, "I thought our kids played well. They wanted to play."

Pentucket awaits its next opponent. The MIAA will likely make the announcement on Sunday.
