MAZZONE MASTERPIECE
Methuen High's girls knocked off Andover, 49-48. The Rangers broke a 48-48 tie with a Kayla Dorandi free throw, then survived a wild final minute to hold off the Warriors for the win.
Freshman Nyah Mazzone erupted for the Rangers in the victory, tossing in a career-best 28 points in the victory.
"She was open, and she knocked them down," said Rangers coach Jillian Middlemiss.
Mazzone knocked in five three-pointers on the night, three in a row in the fourth, turning a Rangers 7-point deficit into a two-point lead.
Jillian Webber had 25 in the losing effort.
