GEORGETOWN — Adam Fyrer kicked two field goals and quarterback Jake Long picked up a 40-yard touchdown run to help Ipswich (4-3) blank a game Georgetown club.
The Royals, who are averaging just 3.8 points a game, dropped to 0-7.
“Our goal has always been to make the playoffs. It’s the first time in a long time we were able to that,” said first-year Ipswich head coach Kevin Fessette. “Hopefully it’ll be a good situation.”
The Tigers’ defense came up big as well, Bill Waiswilos and Josh Brown led the effort.
