MANSFIELD — Mansfield, which was coming off a lopsided 42-14 season-opening loss to St. John's Prep, bounced back in a big way with a 27-0 drubbing of Haverhill.
Both clubs came in highly-regarded with the hosts No. 13 and the Hillies No. 15 in the ESPN Boston statewide poll.
But sacks and turnovers were too much for the Hillies (1-1) to overcome.
Connor Finnerty (6 carries, 142 yards, 2 TDs), Brian Lynch (10-101) and Nick Graham (4-33, 2 TDs) gave Haverhill fits.
