Last year's record: 6-12

Coach: Gardy O'Flynn (Sixth year, 55-46)

Key returnees: Jimmy Cadogan Jr., P; Al Lampropoulos Sr., 1B; Greg Doucette Sr., P; Chris Tolios Sr., C; Mark O'Flynn Jr., OF; Nate Conway Sr., P; Mike Puente Jr., P

Key departures: Max Williams, Kevin Michael

Strengths: The Tigers trot out solid, experienced pitchers in Jimmy Cadogan, Nate Conway and Greg Doucette. With Mike Puente in the mix, they should have some depth as well. Freshman John Eldredge adds some speed to a lineup that already features the likes of Cadogan and Alex Lampropoulos. Ipswich is off to a good start, having captured the Bert Spoffard Memorial Tournament with two wins this weekend.

Concerns: The offense is littered with talented hitters | but they don't have a ton of varsity at-bats. There may be some growing pains early on while some of the new faces grow accustomed to the routine.

Coach's outlook: "We're very young at some positions but our goal is to make the (state) tournament and I think that our pitching is going to keep us competitive in most games. Jimmy and Greg both had really good offseasons and we're looking for them to lead the staff."
