On the same week that his beloved grandfather passed away, Haverhill junior Reece Millington didn't let up. The Hillies' 145-pounder had two pins and a major decision as Haverhill won two of three meets, falling only to Westford. Millington is now 28-1 on the year with 21 pins.
"Reece is having just a great year," said Haverhill coach Brian Urquhart, whose club improved to 15-7. "I can't say enough about him."
Millington's grandfather was partly responsible for persuading Millington to go out for wrestling.
Among others having big days were Orlando Rojas, Jake Prescott and Luc Chretien. Rojas had three pins and is 30-4 overall, Prescott was 3-0 with two pins to improve to 26-8 and Chretien improved to 26-4. Nick Tejada and Dan DeJesus were 3-0 at 106 and 113 respectively.
