Haverhill junior Luc Chretien had a disappointing performance at the Lowell Holiday Tournament, but he made up for it yesterday at the Chelmsford Tournament.
Chretien had two first period pins and then convincingly handled No. 1 seed Duncan Kepner of Chrlmsford in the finals, 11-5.
The Hillies also got a surprising second from Dan Dejesus at 106, a third from Reece Millington at 145 and a fourth from Jake Prewscott at 152. DeJesus had three pins before the finals and Millinton had a 42-second pin in the consolation finals.
But Haverhill lacked depth in the tournament and finished ninth overall. Noble (Maine) was first with 247 followed by Chelmsford (231 1/2) in second.
Greater Lawrence had a solid tournament, finishing seventh, led by 182-pound runner-up Chris Eyssi and Christian Riman, who had a 5-2 win in the consolation finals to take third at 132. Matt Koch had a third for Pelham at 126.
