Freshman Jacob Post had a breakout tournament Saturday, helping Timberlane win the Cumberland, R.I. tournament, defeating runner-up Fairfield Warde by seven points.
Post came back in the consolation round to finish third, beating the No. 4 and 5 seeds twice each on his way, gaining a pin in the consolation finals.
That helped complement the veterans, led by champions Derek Bohle (132), Ryan Peters (145) and Cam Altobelli (152). Bohle won a wild 12-10 decision in the finals, Peters edged last year's fourth-place New England placer 4-2 and the rising Altobelli had a major decision.
Finishing second for the Owls were Dan Scalzo at 138 and Brian Lonergan at 182.
Pinkerton finished sixth, led by champions Shayne McCann (120) and Dylan Barreiro (195), while North Andover came in seventh behind unbeaten Fritz Hoehn, who was named the tourney Outstanding Wrestler after recording pins in 25, 52 and 39 seconds before settling for a 17-1 technical fall in the finals.
