Last year's record: 16-3 (lost to Central Catholic, 53-38, in Division 1 North quarterfinals)

Coach: Jane Heil (27th season)

Key returnees: Lindsey Consoles, Sr. C; Kristen Federico, Sr. C ; Michelle Grifoni, Sr. PG; Tawny Palmieri, Sr. PG; Janelle Rodriguez, So. F.

Key departures: Jen Cruz, Alex Moutsoulos, Lauren Blodgett, Danielle Macchi, Emily Ingersoll.

Strengths: Offensive options. Although Jane Heil can't pinpoint her 3-point shooters just yet, she knows the Tanners' scoring will come from a variety of different players in a variety of different ways.

Concerns: The unknown. Heil still feels she has some learning to do as far as what this team is capable of, and playing a new conference makes every game and every opponent brand new to the Tanners.

Coach's outlook: "What does every team shoot for? We certainly want to compete with the top teams in the conference and we want to be among the top teams. Our goal always is to achieve the conference title. I wouldn't dream of penciling that in yet. We've got our work cut out for us. The exciting part for us is that every team we play is a new team. It's such a different feel. It's like going to Disney World every game."
